What can we say about Carrie and Adam except that they were utterly IN LOVE!! Carrie is a fashion designer in NYC
{check it!} and Adam is in advertising there so of course, this wedding was chic, hot, and fun! Though they had already planned their wedding, we were lucky enough to work with them as their day-of coordinator and every moment working with them reminded us of why we have the best jobs on the planet. Great weddings always start with a great proposal and this one is absolutely charming... just like them.
"... one day I was cooking and Carrie was sewing and she meant to say "sometimes my friends ask me why I don't ask you to marry me", but what she actually said was "sometimes my friends ask me... will you marry me?". I was somewhat taken aback, but the answer was immediate: "Yes. Yes? Yes! Yes!!!". We jumped around the apartment together, both surprised and beaming, then kind of confused: what had we done? were we really engaged? did that count? So we changed our status on Facebook to make it really official :) " - Adam
The wedding was at Fort Getty in Jamestown, RI which overlooks the Narragansett Bay.
During the ceremony there was not a dry eye in the house. As they read their personal vows to each other, it was as if they were the only two people on the planet; best friends, lovers, soul mates, and absolutely perfect for each other.
The ceremony was followed by a tented reception and a real RI clambake that included an unveiling for the guests. "Some of this wedding we wanted to be traditional (a move that would surprise many of our friends), but we wanted a ceremony and celebration that reflected our relationship and what marriage meant to us personally." - Adam
Each place setting included a sheet of origami paper and instructions on how to assemble. Guests loved it!
At the end of the evening, Adam's parents presented the couple with a beautiful wedding gift they actually brought with them from England.
