Bridget & Matt, New England Aquarium Wedding

If you know me well, you have probably heard me talk about this wedding - two days before Bridget and Matt were scheduled to be married in Boston, the Bruins announced the Stanley Cup Parade would occur on the same day!  With over one thousand people outside Trinity Church an hour before the ceremony and one of the largest bridal parties we've ever worked with, I can't say it wasn't a challenge.   But nothing could stop us from making sure their was flawless and we were able to pull it off without a hitch!  No delays, timeline was on track, and most importantly, the couple had huge smiles on their faces the whole day.  The New England Aquarium proved for an exciting and unique reception venue and the couple was even able to get a quick shot with a Bruins Celeb!  Enjoy some photos from the talented Leah Haydock Photography, flowers & linens by Milestones Floral Shop, wedding planning by Infinite Events.

You're Invited!

Wedding invitations are not what they used to be - the days of the standard white card stock and black-ink-printed invitations are long gone! Here are some fun, innovative ideas that will make the announcement of your day stand out.

add texture - a little detail goes a long way. Here, fabric is used create some edginess to the classic invitation format.

add an object - a multipurpose invitation! Not only does this invite double as a handkerchief but also as a map of the wedding's location.

add curiosity & secret compartments! Who doesn't love finding little surprises...

Incorporate what is important to you and your spouse-to-be, like your appreciation for vintage records

Something to keep in mind when it comes to wedding invitations - this is the first glimpse of your big day that your guests are going to see! Your invitation choice will allow your family and friends to get an idea of what to expect as far as style, attire, setting etc. Don't be afraid to be yourselves and incorporate your personalities and wedding day style into your invitations. Remember, your wedding day is for you and the one you love so make it personal and always have fun with it.

To TIP.... or NOT to Tip??

As your wedding day approaches, you will begin to wonder which wedding vendors you should tip and how much. To make life easier for all of you, I've created a cheat sheet to help - it includes who, when, and how much is typically expected. Keep in mind that there are always exceptions to what is traditional; this chart is simply to be used as a guideline.

Lastly, when giving out your tips, it's best to have one person in charge of handling this task on your wedding day; traditionally it's your best man or wedding planner. The tips should be in cash and in sealed envelopes labeled with the appropriate vendor names. This will make it easier for whoever is responsible for handing them out the day-of.
